This 1968 Taco 44 minibike was a commissioned refurbishment that was finished and delivered to the current owner in 2011 and thereafter put on static display. The bike was powder-coated purple and is powered by a three-horsepower Briggs & Stratton four-stroke single paired with a centrifugal clutch. Equipment includes a black vinyl solo seat, a twist-grip throttle, a recoil starter, a jackshaft, a drum brake, 5″ multi-piece wheels, shrouded shocks, and a side stand. This Taco 44 minibike is offered at no reserve in California for off-road use only with a bill of sale.
The Taco 44 minibike was manufactured by Steen’s of Alhambra, California and on this bike the frame, swingarm, and the front-end assembly were powder-coated purple in the refurbishment. Features include a side stand, tubular foot pegs with rubber tips, and a black vinyl seat with an upswept tail.
